TRANSPARENT ACTIVITY SCORING
How ranking works
Every forum receives an activity score from 0 to 100. The score combines accepted reports of active users and new public posts across 7-day and 30-day windows.
Score formula · version 1
100 × (0.35 × L(active users · 7d, 500) + 0.15 × L(active users · 30d, 2,000) + 0.35 × L(public posts · 7d, 2,000) + 0.15 × L(public posts · 30d, 8,000))
For each metric, L(m,c) = ln(1 + min(m,c)) / ln(1 + c). The cap keeps very large forums from overwhelming the list, while logarithmic scaling makes smaller communities competitive. Scores are rounded half-up to one decimal.
What affects a score?
- Recent activity carries 70% of the score: 35% from active users and 35% from public posts during the last 7 days.
- Longer-term activity carries the remaining 30%: 15% each from active users and public posts during the last 30 days.
- Only accepted plugin reports count. Suspicious reports are held for review and do not affect ranking unless accepted.
- Paid placements do not change organic scores or ranking.
If scores tie, the directory compares 7-day active users, then 7-day public posts, then the listing ID. The directory shows when each report was measured and marks data freshness.
